  • Back Again

So Alot has happened to me since i started atkins in 2003.
My husband and I decided to try atkins... I lost 25 pounds in the first month. THIS IS GREAT. But slowly our relationship took a bad turn, and we seperated in March of 2004, and of course I turned to food. I didn't gain back alot of the weight maybe 5 pounds, but I wasn't losing and the was depressing me. It always amazes me how Chocolate ice cream can become your best friend, while you know it is your worst enemy.

By the end of 2004, I decided to move out of state and go live with some friends. So I packed my bags and moved from Minnesota to Florida. I am a big woman, I don't do nothing small, and this includes moving!

Got to Florida, and friend and I became close, and we took things slow. Everyday as I got happier, I got healthier. I have lost weight over the last year without doing atkins, just from being more active, but now... we are talking marriage, and I don't want to be big at my next wedding. I want to be the beautiful Bride I know I am inside.

My man is so supportive and my best friend. He just tells me make sure I am doing it for me, because he loves me no matter how I look, so if I am changing, change for myself.

    So I re-started on March 29th, my Mom's birthday.
I have lost 5 pounds so far.
I started WATP 2 mile again... I forgot how much that whips your butt.
I also work in an office where I walk about 8000 steps a day.

BTW.... My Blood pressure when I was 293 was 145/94. I check today and it is 120/82. I just really want to be healthy.

PS. The only part of hate of induction is no SODA or POP depends on where you live.

Yeah for the drop in blood pressure! Congratulations on the turn your life has taken. You will just keep on making it better with Atkins. I have no doubt that you will be a beautiful bride. Welcome back!

Thank you all. It is great to be back. I finished my first week of induction I have lost 7.2 pounds. HORRAY!!!! I love this woe! Only 45.8 to my goal in December for the cruise. Plus I am just excited to say... 48.2 pounds are gone forever. It is always nice to say I have less than 100 pounds to lose. Do the Snoopy Dance!
