  • Hi, I'm back again too

Looks like spring is bringing everyone out of hiding. I'm back too and starting over again. Drinking my water, eating right, and starting to exercise again. Good to see so many new and old faces.

Re: Hi, I'm back again too

I'm back too after taking a detour thru the possible surgery routine. Come to find out I would have to have 12 months of being on a diet that my Dr. monitors and documents my failure before the insurance would cover it. This would involve counting calories, seeing a nutritionist etc. I quit doing Dr's for weight loss years ago, because they keep wanting me to count calories and fat and I cannot stick to that for more than two weeks. So never mind that quick solution I was trying to get. LOL Back to nose to the grindstone and back on the only woe that ever worked for me.

Re: Hi, I'm back again too

My first day went was well as I could do considering i had to eat out 2 out of 3 meals. In the morning I had eggs and sausage from Mcdonalds (threw out the biscuit and hash browns) when I looked it up on their website though it said the 2 eggs have 5 grams of carbs so they must add milk or something not sure what???? Then had a low carb meal from a nearby restaurant which was a bunless bacon cheese burger and a tossed salad which was a total of 7 grams of carbs per their menu. So not so bad. Then for dinner I had another hamburger patty with cabbage. Drank lots of water all day and one decaf coffee with splenda so add another 2 carbs. Think all in all I still came in under 20 by having the cabbage at dinner.

I didn't get to exercise since I had to grocery shop so I didn't have to eat out all day again today. I went to Save A Lot where you have to bag it and take it to your car by yourself. Then I had to bring it all in and put it away myself so I was pretty worn out after working all day and then doing all that. It was too many hours between lunch and dinner too.

This morning I woke up at 4:00 am with stomach ache and still had it at like 9. Hopefully my body just dumping some inpurities already. I thought I had a few days before that happened.

So even though I had no food in the house I think I did pretty good yesterday even having to eat out. Now that I grocery shopped I can do much better and know what is in my eggs. LOL

Oh and I officially weighed this morning and it wasn't as bad as thought. It's bad but not as bad as I put in my signature yesterday. I weighed 314.5 this morning which I am going to consider my restart weight.

Re: Hi, I'm back again too

Wow, it feels good to read about how everyone is doing. I have been trying to get back on track for a couple of months and have been unable to do it on my own. The board has changed so much, took me a while to figure it out. Well, I'm back doing induction and having a helluva time staying away from the sweets. That was one of the hardest things to get past the first time around. Those first three or four days until the cravings diminish. I will be using the support that I know is here on the ADBB. Thanx, Karen

Re: Hi, I'm back again too

Well, it's almost 5:00 here and I will be going home, which is the hardest part of the day for me. I have junk in the house.....well, with two 16 year old boys, it's kinda hard not to. So I am just going to make dinner for them, then for myself, then put my headset on and go for a walk rather than sitting in front of the TV. Wish me luck. Good luck on your weigh-in.

Hi. Well, I just made it past day one. This will be day 2. I feel good. I don't think I realized how much I needed the support of the ADBB until I started reading about everyone again. It gave me the strength I needed to keep going. I use my exercise bike every morning. I walk all the time and I would like to start working out with weights, but I have to learn how to do it first. I put back on 11 pounds by going off Atkins and am now working to get back to my goal weight. One day at a time. Thx.
