  • What's for dinner?

I have been eating alot of eggs lately and they are getting old. So tonight I made myself induction legal chicken cordon bleu. I would love to hear what everyone else is making so I can get ideas. Yes.... I know there is a recipe section, but I want to see what everyone is really eating on a daily basis.

    So.... what's for dinner?

Now Star that does sound good. Today I am doing that beer can chicken on the BBQ. DH will drink half the can of beer the rest of the beer, can and all gets shoved up the chicken's butt (chicken sits on can) and the outside gets basted with a nice BBQ sauce. I think I'll have mine with a salad.

Seafood tonight... mussels and shrimp and other yummy things. Veg is 'agretti'. Don't know if you get those in the States. Never seen them in the UK and even here you can only get them in spring. Here's a pic for anyone who's interested: http://www.pix8.net/pro/pic/64822252c/420795.jpg
They taste rather 'ironey' so I count the carbs as I would for spinach because I can't find them listed anywhere. I just cut the ends off and boil them for a couple of mins then dress with oil, salt and a touch of vinegar. Deeeelish.
          Dessert is greek yogurt.

the beer doesn't get in the chicken just the aroma of the beer. if you don't put BBQ on it and just "roast" the skin it will get crisp cause it takes a long time to cook the chicken on the low indirect heat on the grill or in the oven it will be induction legal.

I think chicken cutlets sliced up until strips, marinated in LC wing sauce, and baked. Served with a side of broccoli.

                  Re: What's for dinner?

I had thrown pork loin in the crock pot with mushrooms before church, but it was AWFUL.....

I bought pork "sirloin chops" because they were on sale this week. I had no idea that it would be SO VERY nasty. BLECH. They tasted soooo much "meatier" than regular center-cut pork loin that we normally buy! Lesson learned!

SO I'm eating my emergency pan-fried cheese/turkey pepperoni dinner. It is my "oh no, but at least it is quick" emergency meal!
