  • Is this doable?

Hi everyone! I'm not completely new to this diet, I did it before my wedding and lost about 30 pounds, but haven't done anything since.

I started last week, and so far have lost almost 10 pounds! I know that's just the way induction is, but boy does it make me feel good.

I'm planning on going to New York in September. Do you think it is a reasonable goal to want to lose 50-60 pounds by then? I am walking daily for about 45mins-1hour and also started doing yoga (which I love!). But I don't want to get my hopes up for something like that just to be dissapointed.

    Thanks!

Welcome Stephanie! It sounds like you're off to a good start. Keep up the good work. Of course you know everyone's body is so different but it seems most people average between 8-10 lbs. a month in the earlier months of starting this WOE. Of course there are those who lose it much quicker and some slower. Keep up the walking, drink all your water, and do it by the book and it WILL come off.

      Hi Stephanie
Welcome back to our CC family
And congratulations on the pounds lost so far too

there is no way anyone can predict how much weight you can lose by then but I am sure if you keep to the allowed list, drink your water and do your exercise you will go to New York a much fitter, healthier and slimmer you than you are now!

I have never been one who sets goals for xx pounds by xx/xx/200x as I feel my body will make the decision on pounds lost, so I always set myself goals like 'I will not cheat for x days/weeks etc' or 'I will exercise for xx minutes x days a week' - goals that I CAN control by my behaviour.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

            Stephanie,

I personally don't like 'weight time goals'.

To me it's about losing the weight in a safe and healthy way.

I have note put a deadline on it. That being said I am still losing weight.

If you stick honestly to the plan, then what you lose by September, is what you lose.

Go for it! It is possible!

welcome back. only your metabolism and your hard word doing your Atkins can say hif you will or wont lose 50 pounds by Sept. However you will be a smaller healtheir you by then no matter what the scales say if you work your Atkins every day till then.

                Happy low carbing.
