  • Big Weight Loss = Looking like another person!

I was checking out Kent photos here and I can't get over how he looks so different!

200 pounds is a lot to lose!

You people that have lost all the weight, do you feel like a different person ? Do people treat you different ?

Yeah, check out my DH. He lost the weight and literally had people not recognize him if they hadn't seen him in awhile. Here's a before (look below for an after):

OMG You guys look fantastic! You're right! You really DO look like different people. Awesome work.
No stats. Not weighing anymore ever. Will post "before and after" pictures when I want to. The end.

            LOL! You're too kind!

Left to right is my Son-in-Law, DD22, DD17 (at her graduation), Me & DH. I was kind of hiding behind everybody, but you can really see how much smaller DH is!

I am speechless. I still have no clue which people are you and your dh in the before and afters?

And the pics of Kent--whoa. He does not look like the same person--seriously. If I were looking at those pics I'd swear they were different people.

OMG--you're not serious. You look so much younger in that pic than in the other one. It must have been the glasses that threw me off??? Seriously, you look like 20 years younger.

                        Awesome transformation!!

I find a lot OF people don't recognise me any more but, I also find a lot of the people who knew me before and saw me lose the weight don't wanna talk to me any more. it's weird I am not any different but, I guess watching me do it and such makes them feel like I am different or something. If anything I am a better person. I find I get this a lot From Women friends I had. It sucks but, I guess I really know who my friends are now.

Well the teller at the bank had that impression at my driver's license, but I like having it around to be a starting point with others on how to lose weight. There are days in which I am sure each of us don't recognize our new self in the mirror. I even have those days with my wife as former mental images no longer apply especially as she buys new thinner, more form-fitting clothing. It is not just outward appearance either. There are countless examples of how the change worked its way inwardly and people are acting differently as well. In the end, I hope I am personally a different person -- one that never has to worry about being the old Kent again.

                            Thanks for noticing, Dave.

I'll be 49 next week and my daughters are 22 & 17. Thanks for the compliments! I've lost about 40 and DH has lost 75. We DO feel great!

Sarah, I'm so sorry that some of your friends are intimidated by your incredible success. You have so much to be proud of and I've enjoyed watching you grow and change as the weight has come off. I admire your dedication so much.

Kent, I've enjoyed watching you morph, too. I've been around these boards for 2 1/2 years, although I mostly lurk. But since we're sharing compliments, you certainly deserve your share!
