  • Joining the Century Club!!

Hello, All! Time to join in since I have 150 pounds to lose.. Currently, I weigh 370.1. So far, I've lost 2 inches off my bust and belly and 3 inches of my hips. I started watching my carbs on 5/24/2006. So, less than a month into it, I'm down 13 pounds and a few inches. I have a new pic to share, though I can't see much of a difference, I want to track my progress..

      Welcome to the CC!

Seems you are doing well to come down from a high of 425.

The first 100 pounds lost on Atkins is the easiest!

        hi and welcome

You've done really well with the loss so far and even though you feel you can't see a noticable difference right now,the tape measure definetly says you are shrinking
It wont be long before you're gonna need a belt to stop those jeans from slipping down when you walk...so beware!!!

Wow, you look great in that photo! Seriously, I would not believe that you weighed 370. Congratulations on all that weight lost! I'm looking forward to seeing you around the boards.
No stats. Not weighing anymore ever. Will post "before and after" pictures when I want to. The end.

                  Re: Joining the Century Club!!

This forum helps me through my new WOE every single day! I have a great network of friends, family and coworkers as well who I've told of my success so far and who back me 100%. I live with my Mom (moved back from a bad relationship, hurts the ego a bit, but I have a roof over my head at least!) and she too restarted Atkins two weeks ago after falling off here and there. We were both Dx'd w/ diabetes within the same year (2005) and neither of us were seeing a change in the numbers on our monitors. Even w/ metformin, we were both seeing numbers over 200. Both of us are doing so well with our weight and blood sugar that I can't even imagine sticking bread or pasta in my mouth ever again.

I know that being 100 lbs overweight isn't fun at all.. I've been this way for 7 years.. I have jeans in my closet that range from a size 20W-30W.. Sometimes I feel like the only morbidly obese person in the world.. I see shows about 600 lb people, but those are extreme cases and I can't really relate.. I never was too big to leave the house or walk, but my confidence wasn't there anymore and I was embarassed to go in public. I walked with my head down and hardly ever made contact. Some of this was because of the bad relationship I was in too. But now, just knowing I am becoming healthy with my weight has given me some of that back.

I'm so happy I have people like all of you to talk to and share my stories and pains..

good for both of you. If you look at some of the posts from other superheavy weights changes in other parts of their lives took place too. I hope we still have the topics about becoming the president of the writers association and giving a speech infront of a group cause it was wonderful to watch over the yrs the wonderful changes that have happened in so many CCers lives in addition to seeing the bodies shrink.
