Re: Hey everyone
I'm afraid that "wedded bliss" is on hold for the time being. In March we agreed to postpone the wedding and wait to see if the Army would be willing to transfer him to Arizona later this year or beginning of next year. When he initially asked, they refused, but might be willing to later. We're still very much engaged though.
Christopher is doing as well as he can. Adjusting to life as a Drill Sergeant (and as a DS fiancee) has been very hard on both of us. He's literally running around working from about 4:30am to 6, 7 or 8pm. Most of the time he gets little or no time off on weekends, and often he has to work 24 hour shifts. In other words, he's completely exhausted. We still talk several times a day, but he's either running off to go do something, he's interrupted by his Privates, or he's so exhausted he's falling asleep. Poor Alpha Wolf.
I've been stressed out by a variety of things, especially Christopher's job. When I get stressed I retreat into myself and disappear. I completely checked out, and didn't even check my email for a long time. I found your emails WAYYY after the fact, but by that time was too embarrased to reply.
Anyhoo...
Getting married is on, but on hold. Christopher is working very hard, DS is doing very well now, and I'm trying to destress and get back on track.
Ain't life grand??
Thanks for the welcome back, everyone.

Re: Hey everyone
Good to see you back, I've missed your smiling face and your posts. Remember, when you get stressed you come and vent here - not in the fridge! I find a good stiff walk helps too - I tend to mutter away about my greivances to myself and get funny looks from the other walkers, but hey, who cares?!Odille

Re: Hey everyone
I totally understand Joanne about hiding out. Come hide in plain sight here. How's your son doing these days? Is he enjoying summer vacation? What does he like to do during the summer days?

Re: Hey everyone
Welcome home, Joanne. You've been missed. Life as a drill Sergeant is tough, which is why the brown round gets so much respect. I remember in AIT our drill sergeant got called back in on a Sunday which was his first day off with his family in over 27 days. Needless to say he took his frustrations out on us. It's a tough gig but a very important one.Jim

Yes I'm eating a smore in the picture, how do you think I got so fat?
