    Re: Question about Airplanes

    THEY HURT!!!

And unfortunatly, my mother-in-laws favorite restaraunt ( where she eats outside) all has those, so we're there like 2 times a week... ouch ouch ouch... One of these days, I'm gonna stand up and the chairs gonna come up with me, just stick off my butt in the air....

oh yah, I remember reading about that...

My friend has given birth twice, her boy was born at 9 pounds 8 oz, and her girl was born at 9 pounds, 4 oz. All I can think about that is OH MY LORD, THE PAIN THE PAIN!!!

LOL...I feel you on that one. Same here!

As for airplane seats...I'm a big girl and always uncomfortable on those stupid airplane seats but I have flown for the past two summers (this past summer was even out of the country) and I was never asked to purchase a second seat. I always just cram my butt into one. I did have to ask for a seatbelt extension though and they always hand me one discreetly.

If you are really concerned about this just call the airline and ask them. Explain to them that you will be sitting next to a family member who doesn't mind. Or you could consider flying first class...I think those seats are bigger. Hope it works out for you. I know how stressful vacations can be if you're worried about fitting in places or being humiliated. Best of luck.

Thanks again everyone! I had to laugh about the seat coming up with you. I was sitting in the seat in the Doc's office waiting room, and that's exactly what happened! And the nurse snickered...I couldn't blame her, I giggled myself even though I was dying of embarrasment!
