  • Personal "No Weigh" Challenge

Okay, I am addicted to my scale! It dictates whether I have a good day or a bad day by what it says when I wake up. After reading Bob Greene's book I have a completely new understanding of how our body reacts to weight loss, water, and exercise so I'm personally challenging myself to not weight for 3 months. I will wake up in the morning and weigh and then on my birthday, Sept. 30th, I will weigh again. I've never gone more than a day without weighing, in fact, I usually weigh 2 times a day. So...this should be interesting.

Anyone else up for a NO WEIGH CHALLENGE???

    July 3rd - Sept. 29th!

    Re: Personal "No Weigh" Challenge

I'll join in with you...I've been weighing more than once a day now and it's frustrating me. I'm in a tape measure challenge that runs until August 1 and I'm not measuring until then. Guess I can do the no weighing also. It's gonna be rough, but I'll give it a shot until August 1. If I can last that long, I'll most likely go til September 30.

Count me in. I'll weigh on the July 2 and then remove the battery from my scale.

Would you mind letting me know the title, since I don't understand this stuff at all, and also suffer from the scale hop. What I am thinking of doing is taking my scale up to my SIL's house 20 minutes from here, and only weighing when I go there. I don't think I can go months without weighing, but I would like to weigh only once a month. Thanks.

        Re: Personal "No Weigh" Challenge

The book I'm referring to is called Get With The Program. I checked mine out from the library and it has been so helpful in addressing issues such as exercise and emotional eating. I highly recommend it. He doesn't even address food until the end of the book and it is basically Atkins Maintenance. qbu, I love the idea of removing the battery from the scale! I'm excited to have others join me on this mission. It will be more fun to notice the change in clothing and comments from others!

I know that by removing the battery that's the only way I won't be able to weigh myself. This is most likely going to be one of the hardest challenges I've participated in since being on Atkins and this board. I'm looking forward to it too!
