Okay I'm talking yet again LOL! But I was sitting here the other day and thinking of a very ironic moment, which had lead, me to this point. My ex mother in law has consistently been on a low carb diet for I cannot say how long. She was the first person to turn me onto Atkins years ago. So I had bought the book and read it did it for half a week half hearted and went on my merry way. I wanted to lose weight but it wasn't a priority (maybe like saying I want to go on a cruise or see the statue of liberty etc.) So then the last couple of years I started seriously wanting to lose weight but it never occurred to me to use Atkins. It was there subliminally but not a forethought. Then around February my ex mother in law asks me if I want some clothes and I'm like sure because finding stuff in my size is so expensive and hard especially when your main outlet is Wal-Mart. Anyway I rummaged through bags of cloths and found lots of nice outfits. My mother in law informed me that her friend was on Atkins and lost over 100lbs now so the clothes were way to big for her. I thought that's great but no connection. (I think cartoon wise I would have had a piano dropped on my head and then emerged with a light bulb above me but no!) Then a few weeks ago I was lounging around and it hit me why couldn't I lose 100lbs. I had prayed for a way and ironically I was lounging in them so to speak. So I started and am never looking back. Yet it makes me wonder if in a couple of years someone will be wearing these pants wishing they could be smaller. Maybe we should sew a little Atkins inspirational in the clothing we donate! Wouldn't that be funny to have people showing up on the board saying, "I just bought these jeans and they told me to come here LOL!" I know weird sense of humor!

Re: Talking pants?
That would be totally awesome - to like, go to a used clothing store or whatever and get pants and have them have like, a message that's like "I stopped wearing these 'cause I'm an Atkins junkie" or something.

That is a wonderful story. Be sure to keep a pair of these talking pants so they can remind you of how far you've come!Pixiepants!!

Re: Talking pants?
That is a great story and a great idea!
Each time I go down a size, I give my clothes away. That way, I have to make sure I keep losing or have nothing to wear! I've given all of my clothes that are too big to a friend of mine. She knows what I'm doing to lose the weight, but she's not at that point where she's ready to commit to something to lose.
I did keep a pair of jeans (the pair in my before picture) to remind me of where I started and where I never want to return to.
Best of luck on your journey.45 ~ F
