So much easier to move & exercise when you lose weight

Well, this morning I wanted to go on a 30 minutes walk, but when I was out there I was motoring along - it became a 45 minute walk!

I just couldn't believe how easier it was for me to walk.

I tried walking 6 months ago - and it was just too difficult. You really don't realise how much the weight was holding you back, untill you lose some of it!

I used to walk for an hour every day back in 1998/1999. I remember how much it regulated my moods, and just basically made my life better.

I am so happy I am able to do this. It is so much about self-love.

I have been suffering with some depression this winter (winter in Australia) and this has already lifted my mood!

It was about 5 degrees, dark like night, and wet, but I got out there at 6:45am. I saw 4 people walking (in a city of 3.5 million) so I am right in saying not many people are exercising because of winter!

I'm going to do this everyday!

AMEN to that!!!! I also had trouble walking a few blocks pre-Atkins. I can walk for 1 hour no problem now. I even sneak in a jog here and there. I love to walk in the evenings. It really clears my head.

That is so the truth, Dave! Finding out what new your body can do is very intoxicating. The joy keeps coming as you keep challenging your body to do new things, like surf boarding on vacation. Recognizing one's achievements I have found only spurs one on to do more. So keep bragging it up, and your body will keep blessing you with new discoveries.

I was once on vacation where the food wasn't so readily available. I can't say we were starving, but we were going quite hungry. I was wondering what happened to me during hiking. I was able to walk much longer distances without getting exuasted. When we came home, I went onto the scale and realized that I lost 10 lbs.

Dave, that's fantastic! Keep up the great work.

When I started Atkins, I could barely walk a kilometre without asking for a bullet. Now I'm chugging right along. I don't go too fast, but I go!
