  • Today is Day Four of Induction

    Hi Everyone,

Just checking in. Induction is going great. However, I still do not like how much food I need to eat to feel like I am no longer hungry at night. For instance, I ate 3 pork chops last night along with my salad and veggies. It just tasted so good. One good note, I ate really normal portions all day long. I just wish I had my hunger in check during the evening is all.

    Here is my food yesterday.

    Breakfast
    2 boiled eggs

    Lunch
1 Cup salad veggies, like lettuce and cucumber and olives.
    cream cheese/shrimp salad

    Dinner
    3 PORK CHOPS
1 cups of salad with tomato and onions
    4 T goddess salad dressing
1 C of cooked spinach with brocolli (frozen)

How is everyone else doing? Looking forward to hearing from you all!
    Hugs,
    Linda

Make sure your driking LOTS of water, at least 64 oz's a day! That helps fill you up, reduces your cravings, and wash your body out. If you do this, & the diet, your appetite will diminish substancially. Good luck! Hang in there, you'll be loving the results!

How about some snacks like pepperoni, string cheese or pork rinds? I find having a small snack keeps me from eating too much at one meal.

There are lots of desserts too...my favorite is the heated up cream cheese with pumpkin pie spice and splenda! Perfect for a short bit after dinner.

        Hi,

I am trying not to snack, is this wrong? I am trying to eat just 3 normal meals.

What is your opinion on this?

It's not bad to snack, in fact it's recommended I believe. I don't know where but someone on here that I was reading yesterday said that if you go hungry, your body will start going into a cycle of releasing more blood sugars and causing the body to store fat.

I try to snack on purpose, unless I am totally not hungry, but I think it really helps me control cravings a lot better. That and drinking TONS of water helps a LOT!

Good luck! I am on 4th day too!

I think having a small snack between meals is a good idea...I think it's supposed to help keep your blood sugar levels more stable so you don't get really hungry suddenly (or after too long).

Something like a deviled egg can be a really good snack too, or a stick of celery with an ounce of cream cheese. What you eat during the day is fine, as long as you keep the total within your daily carb limit. For induction, that's 20 carbs.

Linda, Snacking is not that bad.

But my honest opinion - sticking to the 3 meals is best. Unless you are hungry!

I suggest trying to beef up your breakfast and lunch. Try not to eat so much at night. Night time is always 'trouble' time with my food!

One suggestion I got during boot camp was to spread my veggies out during the day, I wasn't eating ANY at breakfast and squishing the extra cup in for lunch & dinner. Once I added that cup of veggies to breakfast, things were much better and less hunger during the day!
