    Hi Everyone..

My name is Aland and I'm from Vancouver BC Canada

My start weight is 282 lbs.

I've been on Induction for three weeks. (started Labour day so I'd never forget!)

Today I'm at 257 lbs. Personally I can't see it other than my um, chest, is looking a little deflated.

My Goal weight is 150lbs for my 5'7 height.

You all inspire me so much! I have been reading your posts and looking at the before/afters waiting for my account to verify, and i'm AMAZED AND AWED!

You all give me hope. Thankx.

I lost quickly on induction but then slowed; dont be dissapointed if the loss doesnt continue at such a rapid rate.

Take vitamins, keep drinking plenty and keep an eye on yeast overgrowth!

Like other people have said ... don't let that preliminary "whoosh" set your expectations. You're right where you need to be -- dumped the water weight and some fat too, no doubt. But slow weight loss is fine.

A few years ago a friend of ours dropped out of an exercise/weight loss plan because she was only losing 2 lbs a month. Of course ... if she had stayed with it, at 2 lbs a month she would by now have lost 72 lbs total! Instead she has gained weight.

Atkins works ... but not always as fast as you'd like (i.e. back to H.S. weight in a month).

                    Welcome!

Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
