  • Newbie... sorta XD

    Hey guys! I doubt anyone remembers me... I have fell off the bandwagon so many times it's ridiculous! But I figured this will be my last attempt... I am starting a brand new life. I moved from New Jersey all the way down to Florida. I plan to turn my whole life around for the better. When I come back to visit Jersey on Christmas '07 I want everyone to see a better, healthier, happier me. I can't wait to be big "losers" with everyone!!!

    Congrats on the new start !

    I was about your weight when I started (Sept 4th), Hopefully we'll both be big losers

    If you need someone to chat with, when your feeling like cheating, I'm probably around to chat with

      You'll do great! Sounds like you're really committed and motivated, you have a great attitude. Just keep picturing going back in xmas of '07 every time you need motivating. Having a mental image of something like that is a great way to keep going!!

        Welcome back Stephie. Stay connected here on the board, it will help a lot with accountability. I've struggled so much it's not even funny! I keep thinking how much LARGER I'd be if I weren't even trying. So, that keeps me from being a self-hater too much. Here's to you and your LAST and FINAL attempt at a healthier, happier, you.

          Thank you soooooooo much!! Everyone! It means a great deal to me. I am hoping to at least be down to 220 lbs or under 200 by the time I show my face again in Jersey. I lost contact with the boards... and I can say in all honesty that this board always helped to keep me on track. Hopefully I can keep my butt in line this time. All I keep telling myself is that "I CAN DO IT!". I'm tired of being the heavy chic with a pretty face... I want to be the Healthy woman with a stunning look about her... both inner and outer.

            You CAN Do It

            Ask an ex smoker sometime how many times they tried to quit before it worked. For most of us ... we tried and failed many, many times. In my case I had several total defeats, where I quit for a few months and then went back to smoking for a year.

            But now I've been 10 years smoke free.

            Hopefully we'll all be dropping by to post to the newbies here in 2016 to tell them about our sustained success at weight loss and how great our lives are now that we are svelte.

            People do it ... so can we.

            48" waist
            Couch Potato

            NOW:
            40" waist
            Jog 1 mile a day

            6' 2" M
            315 / 238 / ~215 (healthy)
            GOAL: 215 by 5/1/05 (and a speedo body for summer)

              Well CoSteve... I just happen to be a smoker. I have been smoking since I was 14 yrs old. It is another bad habit I hope to kick one day. I figure I will work on one habit at a time. Congratulations though on the 10 yrs of being smoke free!

                welcome back to Atkins and ADBB
                so what exercise challenges are you joining to help you stick with the exercise part of your Atkins? you know we got lots of ongoing open enrollment ones waiting for you in the exercise challengfe section of the board. click my tradmill fellow and you will be in our treadmill treackies challenge if you want to join.
