  • Non-scale victories?

The scale's not always moving, but you have some things to brag about! Let's hear them!

I'm proud of myself because I gave up Diet Coke!

    That's right! You heard me!

I'm getting better at controlling my portion sizes at breakfast!

Dinner might still be an issue, but we'll work on that eventually.

        Re: Non-scale victories?

a couple of posts ago I mentioned that my knees weren't "bouncing" off each other as I walk - today I was out doing the weekly grocery shopping and all's I kept thinking about was that its not just my knees anymore, there seems to be a small space between my legs above my knees! I am so happy! That means I will eventually have "thighs" as in two - not just one giant gloppy thigh - but two! wooooo hooooooo

There are two things I'm soooooooooo proud of
              1) That I quit smoking and even though the scale showed that I gained, and it took me WEEKS to get it back off...I stayed true to my Atkins and I got off those awful cigarettes.
              2) Irregardless of what the scale says...I'm in a size 12. WOO-Frickin-WHOOO I'm in a size 12!!!

I've lost so many inches in my shoulders and arms that I have to roll the sleeves of my bathrobe up so I can actually get my hands out far enough to type.

                          I'm reading everyone's victories, and they're amazing!

I don't think I could give up Diet Coke. I'm glad I never started smoking because I know I'd never be able to kick that. That's a brutal addiction. Well done to stay on program. And well done being a size 12! *jealous* And I know I'd have a hard time passing on so much ice cream. That might help explain why I'm not a size 12. sigh.

And yay for rolling up sleeves in oversized cothes!
