My aunt (76 years young) has come to live with me. I was helping her unpack some stuff in her room and she pulled out a bright red silky pillow. I immediately recognized it. It was made from the nightgown that my mother always wore. She bought it new a thousand years ago and wore it for years and years. It was worn and tattered, but she continued to wear it. She said it made her feel like a princess. My aunt had taken it when she died and made it into a pillow. She gave it to me and each time I look at it, it gives me a feeling that my mom is close by.
Another thing I found in her suitcase was every letter I've ever written to my Aunt over the years. One letter was before I was married. I was telling her all about meeting my husband and that I thought he was 'the one'. Well, here it is 30 years later and reading that letter about my feelings for my husband brought back a rush of tears. I know I was right, cause he is my 'one and only'.
My aunt is making my life so special and I'm so happy she came to live with me.

I'm sure it also makes your aunt so happy to be able to pass these things along to you. Clearly, your letters meant a lot to her. And now they mean just as much to you.
