Well, I know we are all busy with our Christmas shopping for others, but does anyone have anything on their list that they would like to receive from family members that has to do with our new life-style?

I always list the Atkins calendar/day planner (bought at Barnes and Noble) -- it has recipes, tips, a section for recording measurements and weight, and a calendar. I love it and have received it for the past two years from Santa. I've also been putting aside a few dollars here and there in hopes that I might be able to get a used treadmill this year. ((My life has caused me to have to stop my walking classes, but I've been walking in place. I think a treadmill on the enclosed front porch would be a great Christmas surprise for me.

Hmm...well if my bf and I EVER had the money, I would love either a treadmill or an elliptical machine...but ya know, I love going to the gym, so maybe that would be wasted money.

What I REALLY would want is a massage! That would be a treat! Or a gift certificate to Omaha Steaks...

        I would really like:

*a treadmill or exercise bike (Tim and I compromised on the elliptical, I like treadmill better)
        OR......
*an ironman triathalon gps watch, that helps you track distance and rate of movement via sattelite (so when you go for walks or jogs you know how far you've gone)
        LINK

        * oooh ooh, or a frydaddy fryolater to make chicken strips, etc.

          Re: Ho Ho Ho

Last year I knew I'd be starting Atkins on January 2, so my request from Santa was an elliptical machine.

This year, because of getting into running I've asked my DH to get me an Ipod Nano, my mom to for a pair of the Nike plus running shoes, and my sister to get me the Nike plus Ipod that plugs the shoes into the Ipod and keeps track of distance and stuff.

I have some friends and family members doing Atkins or South Beach and I'm thinking about doing baskets with DaVinci syrups as gifts to them.

LOL, you go right ahead Julie! In my family we've learned years ago to be very specific about what we want. We are sensitive to budgets too. It's just easier on everyone this way. I can't wait for Christmas LOL

Clothes, clothes, clothes, certificates to buy new clothes, money to buy clothes, swanky fabric to sew myself a dress, clothes, clothes!!!!!

(Can you tell my wardrobe is tiny right now? I never expected to lose this much weight before I graduated and was still a poor student! I can sew a little, so I've made a few new cute things and taken in a few things that I was wearing but I'm no sewing whiz.)

Any sort of exercise tape/DVD that I can do without having to buy equipment to go with it (or any exercise tape/DVD at all, if the equipment it needs is given to me with the tape/DVD). I could really use a Pilates program because I'm feeling brave!

Deep frier. Certificates for the karate studio near my house (I dream of being able to afford to take lessons there when I graduate).

                Did I mention clothes?
No stats. Not weighing anymore ever. Will post "before and after" pictures when I want to. The end.

                    Re: Ho Ho Ho

I'd like some warmer work out clothes for my walks. I'd also like some cuter walking shoes. My feet are an American size 10. The largest running/walking shoes I've fouind in women's sizes in Japan is a size 8. So I have to buy men's shoes. They aren't ugly, per se. And they work. They're shoes, eh? But...I'd like to have women's shoes. PINK ones!

A treadmill would be heaps cool, but my apartment is so small. I could have it in front of the TV most of the time, but...what happens when I have company? I don't think putting it out on the balcony would be good for it.

                    A George Forman Grill.

                    A microwave.

And yeah...to everyone asking for massages?? Sign me up for two or three of those too!
