Hello
Welcome to the Century Club.
I think that the activity of posts in here is up and down......lets get moving people! Its a New Year and this is our place to post what we are feeling, how we are doing, if we need help and encouragement and to post of accomplishments so that everyone can celebrate with us!
Lisa lets see if we can make a few new threads and have a domino effect!
Congratulations on your 9 pound loss you are off to an awesome start!!!

Re: heeellllooooo
I haven't been posting much because honestly, I don't have anything to post. I'm stuck where I am, hanging on, not cheating, very frustrated, but never giving up. I'm reading a lot here and looking at everyone's pics getting myself geared up for one more day on Atkins. One day at a time.
I'd also like to see the board jumping.

Re: heeellllooooo
I can definitely help with this one, and can also totally relate. It is muscle and water. Whenever you change up your exercise routine (which is good to do BTW), whether it be a change to an existing or just starting, your body actually panics and moves to defend itself. It does this by stockpiling water for the new stresses. Once it realizes that this is the new norm and not a "battle" your body will release the water. Also if you are working new muscle groups, especially large muscle groups, i.e. legs, core. Your body will superhydrate those muscles while they heal (another defense mechanism). As your body becomes more efficient at healing those muscles the water will be released as well.Originally posted by Tracie515I have a worry ya'll could help me with. I lost 6 lbs in about a 2 week period and since i have been excercising i gained 3 lbs back. UUUGGGHHH!!!!!
That is why everyone recommends measuring (which I don't do anywhere near enough), water is heavy, and the scale lies about what you look like.
The past week for me is a perfect example. I have been strict to plan (except for my slip Monday night) and I have been running my butt off. Yet after the second day of running I was up 6 pounds, this morning was the first day I was back to what I weighed on Friday (actually still up .3), and 4 of the pounds left last night.
As long as you are just eating right (specifically until hunger is satisfied only, overeating legal is still overeating) and exercising, and drinking, rest assured it is only water weight.Jim

Yes I'm eating a smore in the picture, how do you think I got so fat?

Re: heeellllooooo
Hi all century club members, so glad to see you all post, thank you ladyhawk for the compliment that was really nice. Tonight i feel really bloated, i think it is because i ran around all day and did not get my water in throughout the day and i have been guzzling it like crazy since about 5pm, i probally have had about 75oz, going to drink one more big cup before bed but not at this moment lol, also i think i overate at dinner not sure if it is the water or dinner, but i have to watch myself when it comes to portion control, i have a tendecy to eat more just because it taste good and its about that tom so that dont make it any better, which i know even if its legal foods it can still come back to bite me in the butt.
