  • I found the best way to stay on track

Well I have found the best way to stay on the wagon once and for all!! I am a Youth minister and my staff and I are always looking for ways to raise money for the kids. So as of Yesterday the youth sponsors and I started a "weight-loss-a-thon" for every pound the sponsors as a group kids collect per pound pledges. I now I have 40 kids on my case to keep losing, so I don't have a choice now but to stay on track. But it is nice to be back on this WOL again!!

It's to bad we couldn't make it nation/world wide, we could make alot of money for a great cause. Good thinking, i hope you succeed far beyond your expectations. God bless!

Yes, making yourself accountable to other people is a great motivation! Good luck with it, and let us know how you get on.

What a great idea! I agree with tracie, wouldn't it be great to be able to the same? Just think how much we could end up raising for good causes!!

i think it's great that you have the support of your kids. i think it would be hard to do it publicly like this, but by your commitment perhaps you can be the inspiration to the overweight youth in your group as well. Show them there is hope and by being the 'guinea pig' for them. May God bless you on your walk!

That's fantastic! And then you get the added benefits of feeling better and teaching the kids that all things are possible through Christ! Very cool.
