  • Hey.. Newbie!

Hey there. My name is Stephanie. I will be 20 years old on July 27. Recently I stepped on the scale and saw the dreaded 300 lbs appear before me... . I've heard so much good about the atkins diet, and finally finished reading the book. I found these boards and stalked them for a bit until now. I've never seen so much support and triumph in one little corner of the internet... lol .

My goal is to be in ONEderland by my 21rst birthday. I want to be healthy for once and not be the "chunky" girl. I want to feel good about myself... for once in my life. I can't wait to share this WOE with all of you.

I start tomorrow. Since tomorrow is payday and I can go shopping for Induction friendly foods! I'm not buying a scale until my 20th birthday. It will be almost a month on atkins by then... O god... I hope I can handle that... lol
Hoping to be @ 180 lbs
By our 1 year anniversary =)

You can totally do it!! If I can get into Onderland from 300+lbs, anybody can!! Where in South Jersey? I'm in Hamilton (10min S. of Princeton). They're organizing a get-together for folks in PA/NJ somewhere around here.

My most recent ex lives in Hamilton! I live in blackwood, NJ if you know where Gloucester County is.. that's where I live! That would be soooooo awesome... the meeting that is. Hope to see you around! How long did it take you to get to ONEderland... I'm giving myself a year.

              Re: Hey.. Newbie!

I'm a STACer so it took me longer, but 80 was around 5 months (I added in exercise along with Atkins and did a huge life change at once), then I fell off the wagon for a few months, then I was back on... it's been a rough trek for me, but I did lose 100 in about a year even like that.

                  Re: Hey.. Newbie!

Thanks everyone! I'm so excited... I think I will have my last major carb meal... (my weakness is icecream ) It's almost like dropping a bad relationship "I'm sorry... but we're not meant to be together. It's not you it's me... well I guess it is you...." hahahha... I feel so silly right now!!!

                  Don't mind me

Welcome to our ADBB family and the CC forum, Stephanie

And congratulations on getting a grip on your weight at your young age too
Some of us were not as sensible as you and had to lose the weight much later in life.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
