  • Need Motivation

Today I feel like eating a cookie. Seriously just one and I know I can stop there, BUT I don't want to sabotage my progress so I need some motivation. Anyone?
Please help as those cookies are really calling my name!
    I don't think I'll cheat, but I'm a little tempted.

Don't do it!! Remind yourself of all you have accomplished. How hard you have worked and think about your goals. It's not worth it and you will feel so good about deciding NOT to eat the cookie(s). It's so hard to make that decision sometimes, but we are here to support you and motivate you. YOU CAN DO IT!!

You'll gain 7 pounds if you eat that cookie! lol, j/k. But why sabotage yourself? I sabotaged yesterday and I am paying for it by the guilt trip I've given myself. It's not worth it Hopejoy.

STOP!!!!!!!! Don't do it!!!!!!! These are the little hurdles we so need to overcome early on in theis WOL. Before you even give it another thought Stop and think about how far you've come and the things you have accomplished so far, make a list if you have to I can even start it for you:

        1. You have lost 19 lbs so far just one more and you've conquered your first 20!!!!
        2. You have lowered your BMI 3.7 points
        3. You have entered ONDERLAND!!!!!!
        4. You can get through a whole excercise tape now!
        5. ...................

Your turn now keep the list going ........ read it over and over again and print it off and post it on the cookie Jar .......... if you have to throw them out! You can do it!!!!!!!!

Gosh, Heidi! That was a good list.
I actually don't have any cookies, I guess that's why it's little easier to not reach for them! And my #5 reason----I feel Seeexxxxxy! I feel a lot more confident.

I don't think I'll cheat, but I'm still tempted. I'll just stay away from the grocery store!

We went to Applebee's for dinner. Gosh $40! We need to stop eating out, but neither of us felt like cooking and I didn't want to smell like food before I went to my study group. Anyway, I survived Applebee's, which has the mother of all chocolate pleasure for me.............that brownie with the melted chocolate pool and a scoop of vanilla ice cream...Mmmm
Thank goodness I didn't get it.

Put the cookie on the floor and then stomp on it with your foot! Then clean it up with a damp cloth and some cleaning solution.

Seriously, you aren't going to have a better day because you ate the cookie! Look at what else is going on with you. It probably isn't about the cookie.

There will always be cookies and other foods calling your name, but decide what you want more "goal" or "cookie"?? If it is goal, what is it going to take to get there? Next time that cookie screams for you, devise a routine that you can do instead of giving in. Walk, dance, call a friend, come to the ADBB, read the Dandr, write your feelings in a journal...drink water, whatever it takes to get rid of the urge. If you have something already planned out when those feelings hit, then you will have a better chance of gettting through the temptation and keep focused on your goal. Best wishes!! Keep posting and let us know what you plan to do next time that feeling hits you. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!
