  • Question?!?!

So, all day today I've been hot n sweaty. My a/c is set at the same temp as always. I'm wondering if this could be an effect of the diet. I mean I've been miserable all day. I had a migrane yesterday, as i expected as I normally get them. It lasted into this morning, then when it went away I was hot. I'm nearing the end of day three on the diet and was wondering if this ever happened to anyone else. Thanks in advance

    Re: Question?!?!

With Atkins, some people get "induction flu" ... think of it as a detox process. I, personally, didn't experience it, but some people do. Symptoms are similar to the flu. Sounds like you may have it. Just stay hydrated with water and stay with the plan. In a day or two, it will pass.

When you are alone in your head, you are in a bad neighborhood.

      Re: Question?!?!

Hey Amy, Funny you ask this because I have always felt just a little warmer while doing Atkins. I have been to the doctors four times in the last two years and my body temp is always the same. I tell him I feel warmer and he said its just in my head. Go figure. Hang in there girl, you will do fine.

        Re: Question?!?!

Well, at leats I know I'm not crazy lol. I can deal with being hot over the massive migrane I had any day. I think I'm past the "induction flu" phase. I woke up today and felt pretty good but my head is still a little foggy. I feel like it's taking me a few seconds longer to think. I do have more energy than I had the first 3 days, so today I'm gonna go to the park and play with my daughter. I can't waitto start seeing results and feeling a lot better. I wanna get up from the couch without huffin and puffin like it's a workout in itself. I'm so happy I made it this far.
