  • Century Roll Call - Thursday 11/15/07

    GOOD MORNING CC'ers! RISE AND SHINE!

    Hope everyone has a great day today. I'm hoping to make it to the gym tonight. My workouts have been suffering lately due to LAZINESS. *sigh* I really need to get back in the groove. Anybody else having this problem? What do you guys do for a workout?

    Heading to the gym and then to work, hope everyone has a great day. At the gym I will be doing weights, tonight I will be doing Gracie (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) for my cardio.
    40 year old male 6' 3"

    What I know:
    1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
    2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
    3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
    4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.

        Good Good Morning all it is a wonderful day exept for the fact that I am freezing it was so hot in my house last night that I turned the heat too low and now it is too cold.lol OH well I am a half a pound down today and I'll take it.

            Good Morning everyone! All is well with me. Liz- I walk and hike for my exercice and do floor exercises. I also love to dance. Bluebelt- What is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu? Cat- I saw on the news this morning of the storm you drove through yesterday. You are very fortunate hon. There were tornados around you. I believe in angels too.Have fun at your PT today. Austlyn- great news hon on the 1/2 pound, keep warm. Jroche5998- I too am a scale a-holic, happy to here you're back on track and lost all from your bounce plus more! My family has a sinus cold going on. My DD is home from school today. So I'll be giving her and my DH extra TLC and fresh chicken soup for healing. I'm still on track with my woe. I won't be weighing until next week sometime, TOM for me this week . Wishing all of you and all those who follow a great Atkins day!

              Hi Sherri-The easiest way to describe Gracie or Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is it is like freestyle wrestling with submissions (chokes, armlocks, leg lock etc..), it is veryhands on. In a two hours class, one hour is technique, the second hour is spent sparring with different members of your training group.

                Morning! (just barely) ran out of the house this am to go to my women's bb study group. Back again, getting ready to go walk and try again at some productivity around the house. Scale went down a lb yesterday, but it's back up due to low water intake yesterday at work...
                Well, at least I know what the problem is so I can fix it.
                2 days off... have to start getting organized for Thanksgiving and calling family to see who's coming.

                  Wow Bluebelt, I can see where that would get the heart pumping. Very cool! I read in a thread that you are an officer in your narcotics department. Very stressful work. I can see where this type of exercise can help you reduce the stress in your life along with other benefits to weightloss. Wishing you the best of health.

                        Good day of eating, another crazy day at work, but at least I left on time

                        Got up early and made it to the gym so I am happy.

                        I don't find the job to stressful, probably no more than what anyone else goes through (just different subject matter) but I do enjoy jiu jitsu and find it beneficial for the job.
