    Good morning everyone. Time to have a wonderful Low Carb day.

    Purplecat-way to go on the progress photos in your Journal. Outstanding job.
    40 year old male 6' 3"

    What I know:
    1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
    2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
    3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
    4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.

    Good morning and goodnight! Had a wicked high calorie day today. Cravings that wouldn't quit. Sigh. I'm gonna try and sleep it off





    290 lbs. on 11/02/07 Goal: 145 lbs. or size 14 whichever comes first!

          It's Friday, that's should be reason enough for everyone to be having a good day. I personally only have an hour left on the clock, so I'm estatic. Have a good weekend everyone.

            Just checking in.

            I was doing SO good today and then I blew it! Let me tell you about my day. First off, I made Gingerbread Men with my class this morning. Even though they smelled so good baking in our little toaster oven, I resisted. I did not eat the cookie dough (which I love!) or make a cookie for myself... Temptation #1 passed.

            Then in the afternoon we had a 'birthday celebration' for my parapro. with cupcakes and potato chips. The cupcakes looked SO yummy, full of icing, but I did not eat a single one and gave all the extras to my parapro to take home with her... Temptation #2 passed.

            In the meantime, my class was crazy busy today and I ended up skipping my lunch break. By the time 3:00 rolled around I was SO hungry. Oh and I forgot to mention I didn't eat breakfast this morning either. I was in a hurry to get by the store before going to school and forgot to eat. So, anyway, school got out at 3:00 and laying there on my desk was a hershey bar (left over from when my class made S'mores one day). I sat there and looked at that hershey bar and was like, "NO! You cannot eat it!" But what did I do... after being so strong all day, I caved and I ate that stinking candy bar. I'm so disappointed in myself. So disappointed.

              well, it's a bummer that you blew it, but out of your 3 temptations, that one probably has the least carbs. Now go drink you water and behave yourself *shaking finger at you!!*

                Yes ma'am *as I hang my head in shame* going to drink my water. I'm so disgusted with myself right now and what's bad is I knew before I ate it that I would be, but I ate it anyway. What is wrong with me? *sigh*

                  You have been controlled by the sweets monster! Actually, hearing some of your stories, you are CONSTANTLY surrounded by temptation. I don't know if I could hold out as well as you do! It's just so much easier when you aren't surrounded by the goodies every day, at least in the beginning.
