Hi Richt... You're right! Right now the thought of running at all seems impossible but I know as I lose I can start building up my running time. Hopefully I will have completed a 5K before I reach my goal.

This is a tough question! Honestly I think the idea of being a true single-digit size is enough for me! I'm not much for tattoos, maybe I'll get a piercing somewhere, but my boyfriend is very wary of that idea...he HATES piercings.

I have told myself that if I can maintain my goal weight for a certain amount of time (like at least 2 years) I'll reward myself with a tummy tuck or something. But who knows, I might end up with a flat stomach in 15 more pounds...

        Re: What Would You Do?

For me it isn't so much about doing the "big trip or the big adventure". For me it is more about living day to day and enjoying better health and mobility. I can go on a weekend trip without thinking in advance about the adequacy of furniture and rest room facilities ... I just know that if there is a chair, I will fit and if there is a rest room, well ... no problem. I can get onto a plane without shuddering that I'm going to have to call attention to my need for a belt extender. I can drive my car with ease. I can start each day with aerobics without having to sit on the couch and just move my arms. I no longer shudder when I open the refrigerator door because I know I'm not even tempted to eat the holiday treat that my husband wanted. I'm not afraid anymore. Instead, I embrace everything I've accomplished with this way of life.

          Re: What Would You Do?

When I lose the weight that I need to, I am going to do all of the things that I am too embarrassed to do right now with as much as I weigh. I am planning on going horseback riding in the Smoky Mountains, learn how to skate, go to an amusement park and ride all of the rides, be able to do more things with my kids out in public like go on rides, be able to sit in the theater seats with ease, go on a romantic night out with my husband and wear a sexy black dress. These are all things that I am not doing now because I am too overweight and it would be too embarrassing. It is what keeps me motivated and not cheating.

This is the second time trying Atkins and hopefully this time it will be a permanent life change for me.

When I first started this woe, I was broke but I wanted something to work towards... I love massages but they're pretty expensive... so I asked my dh if I stayed on the diet for 1 week would he give me a massage???? 'yes'

It was a great motivator for me at the time... I should restart that! hehe!

              Re: What Would You Do?

Hi all, omgosh i LOVE this thread lol i am soo a wishful dreamer type person and things like this is what keeps me going. My one favorite thought is when i am slender again and full of energy, I want to be able again to throw my arms around the guy of the moment's neck and my legs around his waist hooking them and have him hold me while we kiss grins and then tumble and blushes well ya know. lol.

That says a lot more with regard to me in what that means, it means i feel confident enough and comfortable enough with myself and with him and/or others to do something so spontaneous and to not worry about my image or weight etc. So that's not exactly a goal reward but the day it happens i know i will have reached my GOAL of simply being me again.

I am one of those people who cannot wait to become the fashion queen again, to actually purchase clothes for enjoyment again, grins especially the waggles eyebrows fun stuff. I want to see something and be able to believe i MAY actually look as good in it as my minds eye believes. I will have to go with someone lol because i haven't slowed down to shop, i go in grab and run out because i HATE shopping now, someone who will remind me how to do it.

I want to sit in a chair and be able to put my foot on the chair in front of me, and my chin on my knee while i talk to someone or type.

I am sure i will add to this lol.....

That's a GREAT one! I see 'skinny' girls do this all the time or be able to sit indian style in a chair. That will feel great to be able to move our bodies in ways we haven't been able to before. Just being able to cross my legs will be an accomlishment for me.
