  • What are your Christmas Dinner plans?

Here's what's on the menu at my parent's house for Christmas Dinner: I put an (*) next to the items I can eat.

    Ham (*)
    Macaroni and Cheese
    Mock Mashed Potatoes (*)
    Green Beans (*)
    Fruit Salad
    Sweet Potatoes
    Biscuits
    Deviled Eggs (*)

For dessert I'm making a LC cheesecake. (*)

That's sounds like a filling dinner right? What are your dinner plans? Maybe I'll get some more ideas.

We're doing a fingerplate table later on today.....shrimp, wings, meatballs, veggie tray, etc. Last night was the meal of filet mignon, lobster tails and assorted veggies, plus potato and bread for DH.

Re: What are your Christmas Dinner plans?

my wife is italian.....so my xmas begins on dec 24th. last night i had tilapia, cole slaw, spinach and water......then some italian pastries that i could not begin to figure how to spell them......as i can barely pronounce them correctly.....so there ya have it, i was bad

today i will be in holmdel nj......and my biggest obstacles will be the eggnog and the brandy....will probably indulge somewhat. maybe some of those non-atkins friendly appetizers that my cousin makes. so, yeah, today will be somewhat caloric as well

but then come thursday and the discipline returns and the sit-ups are coming in january....so everything will be just fine

I am using up all non-Atkins friendly foods this week, in preparation for starting Atkins on Jan 1st. What I can't eat, I will give away. I don't even want it around! I know myself...

Ok, I'm on rung 8 so everything listed is legal for me:

              -Sweet potatoes
              -Collard greens
              -Ham
-Either peanut butter fudge or low carb pound cake

Right now I'm enjoying a sugar-free candy cane (0 carbs).

              Merry Christmas!!

Re: What are your Christmas Dinner plans?

If you're on the nut rung, you've got to try this. It's called Nutty Poundcake. It's made with almond flour. I made it tonight. It's delicious. Below is the link and pictures I took of the cake I made. I sliced mine in 8 slices (not 5). My almond flour had no carbs so it was only 2 carbs per slice. I have some almond meal flour that I'll use next time which will bump it to 3 carbs per slice (different brands). I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!!
