    Induction

How many pounds did you lose on induction? I know everyone is different...I just wondered.

      Re: Induction

I lost quite a bit, can't remember how much exactly but it really, really isn't relevant anyway.

Everyone REALLY is different. It depends on so many things, your age, your sex, your starting weight, how you were eating beforehand, your metabolism, the list goes on.

Even with people of similar age, sex and starting weight there will be huge variation. The general guideline is that you can expect to lose between 5% and 10% of the amount you need to lose, some do better than that, some lose a bit less. Neither is a predictor of their future outcomes as they work though the other stages of the plan.

I lost 21, BUT I was 382 pouds to start with, and I think I am one of the few women that can/do lose weight quickly. I have dropped 130 pounds since April 19th of 2007. I have worked up thru the rungs of OWL and will be adding some grains next week.

I don't remember the exact amount but it was <6#. I was initially very upset but everyone is different. I did lose 9.5 inches!!!

The weight & the inches lost are only part of the process. I gained an abunence of energy, clarity in my mind & renewed hope that I could continue this way of eating/living for the rest of my life.

Wasn't it awesome when you lost more than two pounds and actually ate good food! This is my second time (I was here in 2004) and had too much going on in my life to really put the time I needed into me, but now in retrospect it was excactly what I needed!

I enjoy hearing how many pounds people lose during induction...it is such a shot in the arm and the determination that some folks express when the plateus come is incredible...it's what I want...strong determination that outlasts my weaknesses!

Realizing it is a life change is one thing...but getting it all the way into your head is another!
