            Good morning everyone, off to the gym before the snow gets to be to much. Have a great low carb day.
            40 year old male 6' 3"

            What I know:
            1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
            2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
            3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
            4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.

              Good morning everyone,

              Just checking in and I am extremely happy to say that my doc emailed me the results of my bloodwork back on Sunday. My triglycerides dropped from the 700 range to 87. My LDL cholesterol stayed the same and my HDL jumped from 32 to 46, which puts me in the normal range again. On top of all that, Dallas lost to the Giants, talk about an awesome Sunday. Hope everyone has a great day.

                  Checking in reporting for duty.

                  Going through a bit of a scare. Last night my heart was beating weird. It was pounding in my chest, keeping me awake. I have no history of this kind of thing. I went to the emergency room. They said I was lucky I came in because I could have had a stroke if I hadn't. They said I had something called Atrial fibrillation. Basically the top part of my heart was beating 300-500 beats per minute, the bottom normally. Blood pressure was way up. They actually had to stop my heart with drugs to get me fixed up. Now I'm waiting to hear back from the cardiologist to go in for tests.

                  Apparantly this this is rare in someone who is as young as I. From what I have read, it's life long medication or surgury.

                  I any case I was down to 311 this morning. Hopefully I can keep going at this.

                    Wow Rob, glad you are doing good. A-fib can be controlled very easily with drugs, you shold not have any problems with it.

                    I am down to 248 this am, down 4 pounds this week

                      Glad you went in, the same exact thing happened to a friend of mine about two years ago, he was 37 then. I has fortuanlly worked out very well for him through medication, he can do any activity without worry. I hope this works out for you, we will all keep postive thoughts for you.

                          well i came down with the flu over night..so that really sucks..i missed school today...but i've stayed on the diet and am going to do some time on the treadmill tonight..

                            Thanks for the kind words everyone. I get to meet with a cardiologist tomorrow. Hoping it goes well. Could be worse I guess.
