Wow I had not gotten this far down into the forums yet.
Looks like lots of people like me who need to lose 100+ !!!
My highest weight was hit over the summer I reached 310 lbs, I noticed some very very very bad stuff going on with me.
My arm would fall asleep, my legs would fall asleep during the night, my feet were getting really gross, I have very bad acanthosis nigricans which is a pre-diabetic skin condition where your body is becoming resistant to insulin
I cut out all sugar and whites from June to December and got down to 280 Lbs
I don't know why I did not get on the "full plan" I think I did not want to face that I needed to get on it.
I had previously lost from 270 to 200 4 years ago using Atkins ..so again I still don't know why I did not want to do it
Well I'm back, I found this board and am soo happy because it's cool to see other people doing it. Especially since most people out there have not read the book, and don't understand Atkins is not about bacon/eggs and atkins bars !!!
I just finished Induction last week and went from 280 to 262 and hit OWL so far I'm down to 260 so another 2 lbs woo hoo !
Anyways my ultimate goal is to get down to 175 and stay there, and to not get full blown diabetes and hopefully I can avoid it forever
