    Good Afternoon CC'ers,

    It's a stormy day in Sherriland today. Snowing heavily with whiteouts. I had to cancle my doctors appt. again today I'm not a happy camper.
    Hey Liz, I'll be watching the Biggest Loser tonight as well. There's something to look forward to besides shoveling snow. Waving at everyone here and wishing you a great day!

      That's an awesome loss your first week, just don't expect it to continue like that forever. I've seen people suddenly feel horrible about themselves when they post a 2lb loss week or even a stall week after finishing induction.

      Slow and steady wins the race!

      This was my first 5 weeks weight loss when I did atkins in 2003/2004, and from what I'm tracking again this time, it's going to be about the same:

          Hiya everyone!

          I just warned the Second timers, but I guess I'd better warn this club, as well. I'm invading. Just thought you might like to know that I'm brand spankin' new to ADBB, and you won't be able to get rid of me no matter how hard you try.

          I'm trying to get involved in all the appropriate support groups to increase my chances of success this time around. I've been away from Atkins for just under 5 years, even though it was one of the few things that I've been successful with. Why do we do things like that to ourselves? I hope to one day understand.

          For now, I'll try my best! I want to go from my current 280-something (I don't know exactly what it is because I'm trying not to weigh while I reinduct), down to something 149 or lower.

          The scale addict in me can't wait until I get down below 200... I think seeing the first digit change will be a major motivator... but it's a bit of a long road ahead.

          See you all there!

                Thanks everyone! I feel so positive about this. I stepped on the scale yesterday telling myself I would be happy if it were only a coule pounds and it gave me ten.

                Thanks for the advice Digitalmocking. The thing I definitely want to avoid is frustration. My mother was explaining that some of it is probably water weight and that I just need to keep up the exercise so it can be fat that I lose in the end. I'm going to get there, and I never want to see that those ten pound again.

                  In that first week a lot of your stored water that your body keeps around to help turn carbs into fat and energy gets burned off, but not all of it was that, I promise you

                  I'm where you are too, my first week was 11lbs down, which is pretty darned nice, but adding exercise this second week in, I'm still seeing pretty substantial drops.

                  Just took my 10 day progress picture, can't wait for a couple more weeks so I can line them all up!

                    My stats were about the same as yours though I was over twice your age when I happened across Atkins, so I just know you are going to be a big loser before too long!
                    Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
                    Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

                        Well, I had mused over buying a science fiction book or "The Secret" which is all the rage lately, but instead I bought a low carb cookbook that I can't wait to try. I figure variety is the spice of life, and right now, Atkins is my life. I checked the recipes and most are induction friendly or could be with a bit of tweaking. Now I'm looking towards goal 2.
