  • Cheating... kinda

    I know we're not supposed to get on the scale until the *end* of our first 14 days on Induction, but this morning I just had to know...

    Last night I put on a pair of my jeans to go out, and when I did, they were saggy enough to require a belt! (The problem: I don't own any belts -- I haven't had to in ages because a) the pants I've been wearing, mending and wearing again for the past few years have been so snug on me that I didn't need one; and b) all my shirts come at least to my hips anyway. So in lieu of a belt, I used a drawstring from one of my hoodies. Elly May Clampett, eat your heart out.)

    But I digress...
    After discovering my jeans had suddenly 'grown' (just like the dryer 'shrinks' them all during our TOM, right) I was too excited this morning to wait another week. I stepped on the scale.

    I've lost two more pounds, bringing my total loss in the past week to nine pounds! Woohoo!!

    I can't tell you what a powerful feeling it is, to finally feel like I have some control over my body and see such immediate results from my good choices... but then, since you're traveling the Atkins road me and all, I probably don't have to. You probably already know.

    I'll have worked up the nerve to post "Before" pics by the
    time I have some "After" ones that show a difference!

      Well if you're gonna cheat, that's the way to do it Congrats!!

          Good for you! It is a great feeling when your clothes start getting baggy' and you see the #'s decrease on the scale.
