  • To heck with the scale (for now)

    This is so odd

Since induction my weight has stuck near 258-259 but my belt has gone down to the last notch, i had to punch another hole in it, and now that is not doing it anymore and I am about to punch another hole (it's very satisfying)

I'd say I have lost at least 4 inches off the waist so far SINCE induction.

All my pants fall to the ground w/out the belt now, and i'm wearing my 2X shirts now and my 3X shirts look like trash bags on me

Why does the scale mock me so ?

Another cool thing, this is the 3rd year taking my daughter to the annual father daughter dance. I had sooo much energy to dance with her the whole night, I never got tired in fact i got really really energized once we got going !! And the best thing of all I did not feel like the biggest person in the room anymore far far from it.

If I could meet Dr. Atkins in real life I'd hug him

You're Shrinking! Way to go! That scale can be such a nuisance sometimes but the tape measure is our friend. I'm glad you had a great time at the father/daughter dance this year. Sounds fun. I looked at your slideshow. WOW, you can tell a huge difference. Keep it up!!

I've really found pictures and measurements to be really important motivators for when the scale is being a jerk!

Yes the scale can be evil!! I struggled all week (my 2nd week of induction) and managed 1 lb loss, but I definatley feel like im shrinking. I just washed my pj pants and normally they are tight after i wash them. This morning they were Baggy!! I think the weight will eventually catch up :P

Yeah I literally flipped off my Scale .. it is very old and its one of those kind that is mechanical internally with a spring mechanism, and a calibration wheel at the bottom, it gets stuck at some points too so I think I might replace it to something more reliable

Any one out there have a good brand model ?

I have one of those digital ones. I love it! It give u a digital reading plus the point so many pounds. It also tracks your weight if u want it to save it.
