  • CC Roll Call - Wednesday 2-13-08

    Good Morning CC'ers!

    I wrote in my journal yesterday but will confess here too. I had a minor slip-up last night. I don't know what got into me or why the stinkin' low carb ice cream bars were in my freezer in the first place, but last night as I sat watching the Biggest Loser I ate 3, yes THREE!, of them, which brought my net carb count to 36! Ugh! It's right back on track today. I know it's not the end of the world. It might stall me this week but I just have to keep on keepin' on.

    Hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday. I have a community trip with my students today. We will be going to Wal-Mart and Wendy's. Shouldn't be a problem...I just get the salad and burger w/ no bun.

    What's everyone else's plans for today?

    Goodmorning!

    Liz... low carb ice cream in your freezer? My first instinct is to ask "what brand?" lol... It is a minor slip-up at that. At least it was low carb. You are doing so great... just put it out of your mind and move forward. (and don't buy them again) Good for you for getting right back on track today.

    I woke up angry at the scale becuase I did the same thing yesterday as the day before that was so successful and gained 2 lbs...lol. AGH! My body is so weird. I didn't workout last night though because I was so sore from the night before. So I decided to tell myself it is just 2 lbs of muscle.

      Don't beat yourself up Liz. Like Deb said, it was low carb. It could have been a cake or something way worse so it's not as bad as you think.

      Deb, I read that when you're sore you gain weight because your body sends fluid to those sore muscles to help them heal. So, once the soreness dissipates you'll probably lose the 2 plus 2 more.

      I'm sitting here debating on whether to go to work or not. No school today. Still bad weather.

        Wow... I didn't know that. You just made my day. I was wondering how I could possibly do so well, eat no salt, not eat anything after 5 pm, stay on the program perfectly and still GAIN. lol... That HAS to be it. Thank you

          Good morning I'm gonna get lots of exercise today, snow and ice removal, raking the roofs and shoveling the walks. As a matter of fact, I'd better get to it!!

            We all have bumps in the road Liz, it's all about how quick we get back on the road.

            8 inches of snow last night, now it's ice/rain, spent my morning snowblowing in the rain, what a joy, now time to get ready for work and head out. Would be nice if they shut down work once in awhile (that will never happen), I can dream right.

            2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
            3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
            4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.

              I have to clean out my car and pack for my night away from home tomorrow, hoping to get my hair done before I leave. I have a mandatory meeting at work for 30 minutes on my day off, I just hate that. Have a great low carb day everyone.

                Hey guys!

                I had tooooo much salt yesterday and am puffed up like a blowfish! I knew when I was putting in on there...oh well...so I am up 2 lbs today...I will drink lots of water and hopefully get myself straightened back out.

                Liz...at least I know now you are human...there for a while (especially after the Italian Rest. outing)I thought you were super human! Liz I know you are brushing yourself off today and going back at it.

                So Cat are you home or what? How's your foot?

                Blue I saw where you were getting some nasty stuff...you and chick be careful...today we have a lot of rain and wind but it is like 65-70 so it's not too bad.

                Jammester...did you make it through the storms ok?

                Hey Debi...don't you love good information...made your day didn't it...

                Hope your hair turns out perfect Beth...I have a terrible time getting a good haircut...Now I just wear it long...

                    Hey all....been a rough week for me....
                    went to the store on Friday night at 10 to get "something" to tide me over my 10 hour shift at work...ended up buying a box of donuts and m&m's "for the girls" but ended up muching on them. Then good again for a couple of days and yesterday OMG....OMG...OMG....office birthday party. There was subs, chips, cake...and yes I had some of each.
                    but back on the wagon again today. Went and did 5 miles on the bike yesterday, but feeling like poop the whole day (I think it was from the overload of carbs and sugar). Slept in today and feeling pretty good---getting a trip to the salon for V-day (a day early) so tomorrow I'll be sporting a new haircut, color, brow wax and new paint on the toes...LOL...

                        Liz, you are so wonderful to be accountable and to keep trucking. You offer so many lessons to us here on the boards and I know you'll be trucking away again in no time.

                          Yeah, it looks like us west coasters are doing well for the sunshine and weather these past two days. I don't know about snow and such much because I grew up in Mississipi but I know about them storms with winds and tornados and they terrify me. I hope everyone stays safe today.

                          I managed to get my calories up to 1700 yesterday but it was a struggle up until almost bedtime. After I took my sleep medicine, my nausea and headache subsided a bit and I got a little hungry and ate some hot wings. Since I felt so bad, I didn't go swim yesterday and it actually felt weird...a little scary almost because I don't want to fall into my old habits of not doing anything. Today, I think I will walk on the treadmill and do some floor exercises. I am trying to conserve on gas and since I don't have to go anywhere today, I won't go to the gym and just work out here.

                            checkin in, still sick over here. still eatin low carb, trying to eat anyways. I had 2 boiled eggs this morning. Not sure if those stayed down.

                              Hi everyone! It's freaking freezing in Atlanta today! What the heck! Yesterday it was in the 50's - today it's around 31 right now with the temp dropping. I had to run out to Wal-Mart to pick up the final things for Valentine's day for the kids and hubby. I work better under pressure. Anyway, I did buy candy and beef jerky for DH. I can't wait to assemble everything today. I didn't want any of it. It's just not worth the risk right now.

                              Everthing has been good. I'm hoovering at 15 pounds GONE FOREVER right now. I know I'm on the verge to another loss but it is frustrating to not see the scale move at least every other day. I honestly don't think I was eating enough greens over the last four days so I'm stepping that up. Lunch was bacon and a very small cupcake size sausage, egg and cheese quiche. Lunch was a few slices of turkey with mixed greens and bacon. No clue yet for dinner. Because of the weather, I'll probably eat something hot.

                              I wish everyone a super Atkins day!
