I am 1 month on Atkins...still doing induction...I tried to come off but I gained weight so went back on....
since I have been doing induction for so long I DO allow myself a couple of things that haven't hurt (actually have helped) my weight loss, such as a little Soy Slender in my coffee in the morning....I am menopausal and the soy is good for me, also it is only < 1 gram of carbohydrate which I count toward my 20 grams.
I have been reading about polydextrose and I have learned that it is NOT digested and does not convert to glucose upon ingestion.

"some pass through the small intestine unchanged and are fermented completely or partially by gut bacteria (e.g., polydextrose, pectin, fructo-oligosaccharides, inulin, resistant starch, tagatose)"
I bought some Polaners Sugar free Mint Jelly (hard to find) because I love it with lamb. it contains 5 carbs from polydextrose, which would make this product 0 net carbs...right?
so I ate some...and still lost weight...but I'm still a little afraid of it...
any opinions, or personal experiences would be appreciated.
