  • What makes you stall?

    You know I think cream cheese (as much as I love it!) kind of puts a stall on me.

    I just wondered if there are foods (acceptable foods) that you believe cause you to stall.

    I have problems with nitrates and any diet sodas (splenda or aspartame). I've been reading some interesting research about how the body responds to sweet things even without the sugar in them. For some people you get an insulin reaction from your body just because it's been fooled into thinking you're taking in sugar.

      I think I am slightly stalling right now, I am in ketosis but I don't usually eat processed meat. In a pinch, I will roll cream cheese in deli ham (you know, that pressed stuff) and I think it is telling on me.

        I'm a cream cheese and deli beef (it says 0 carbs)...but every time I have very much cream cheese I stall out...

          Too much cheese does it for me....well, it plugs me up, which pretty much precludes any weight loss ....if what goes in can't come out, well....do the math (Is there a polite way to have this discussion ) Figured that out the last time around on Atkins. i can do about an ounce a day with no problems, much more than that and I'm searching for a fiber fix. They say John Wayne died with 40 pounds of waste in his system. Don't know if that's true, but if our bodies are capable of even half of that, that's a lot of weight!!

                  Two servings of broccoli, plus at least one serving of spinach works for me

                    Cream cheese and regular cheese -but normally because I don't limit my intake.

                    The other, is frankenfoods EVIL! Hot dogs, salami, bologna - water retention monsters!

                    Gotta stick with the "real" stuff to get "real" results.
