  • hi, another question :)

    Hi, it's me again.
I am hanging in there, even though I haven't lost a lb in 5 days. However, according do the ketone strips, I am still spilling LARGE amounts of ketones. Does this mean I'm doing things right and it will just take awhile for my weight to drop? Thanks for reading.....

    Re: hi, another question

You've lost 14 lbs in a short time, which is great!
Now you're probably experiencing what we call PISS (!) which is Post Induction Stall Syndrome. This happens and is nothing to worry about. Keep eating right, exercising, drinking your water and taking your supplements. You'll be fine, I'm sure.

If after a while you still see no losses then post a menu in the Review your Menu forum so we can see if anything needs tweaking.

I remember you wondering about OWL. I'd make the move if I were you. You don't have to go up the rungs quickly, indeed you can stay on rung one for a long time if you want. Lots of people find that PISS gets jolted out of the way by rung one of OWL and that they not only start losing again, but lose even faster. Don't be afraid of OWL... it's great.

The ketostix tell you you're in ketosis, but they don't tell you if you're burning body fat or dietary fat. They should be used as a guide only as there are a lot of variables: The amount you drink, alcohol consumption, metabolism....
Some people got to goal without the stix ever colouring.

    Hang in there.

Post Induction stall is one of the reasons measurements and pictures are so important. I only dropped 1lb last week, but had almost 6 total inches gone in my measurements at the end of the week.
