    I have Buddies!!!

    The ladies that work in my department have noticed my dedication to this WOE (they haven't noticed the weight loss yet due to how much I have to lose), but they have noticed my extra energy. Today I came in to work to discover that they are going low carb! ONe of my coworkers told me they went through their all their cupboards and got rid of all the "bad stuff" and her whole family is doing Atkins.

    I was so happy that on my lunch break I went and bought us "legal" snacks like pepperoni slices and veggies and ranch dressing and stocked our work refrigerator. I think it's just so cool that I have "groupies" now! LOL Having this extra support at work can only be helpful. No more tempting with fast food and sushi!

    Thats awesome Dawn. A friend of mine decided to try Atkins last week. Its nice to have a buddy isn't it?

        Great job Dawn, that's fantastic.

        What I know:
        1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
        2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
        3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
        4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.

          it always makes it easier to have buddies. I recruited my friend but he quit after a week!

                Thats so cool! You guys can help keep each other motivated, trade recipes, have a low carb potluck...Im excited for you...thats great news!!!

                    Dawn, that's great! It always helps when you have allies. Hubby is mine, but I have a funny story. Our office used to consist of 6 techs, another lady and me. We had this guy who brought in a big snack box once of twice a month. In November they transferred the guys to our main office and that left the other lady and me and now we are just a payment center. About a week ago the snack box guy came in and he was just falling all over himself apologizing, telling us his boss said our snack box wasn't making enough money to make his trip worthwhile and that he would have to pull it. I haven't touched it since before the 1st of the year. We thanked him for taking it away and he didn't know what to say, LOL!!!
