  • Hi I'm new!

    Hi, My name is Kathie and I have over 100lbs to lose. I'm on day 8 of induction and so far so good. My husband is doing it with me. I'm down 10lbs in a week so I'm really excited! I had to go to a family function today and I was really nervous because I knew they would have all of my favorite foods, which they did, but we brought our own and it was hard but we made it through. What helped the most is I'm just not hungry that much anymore. It's nice to have other people who are doing the same thing I am and understand what I'm going through. My husband doesn't really fully understand it yet, he justs asks what he can eat and I give him ideas. Have a great night everyone!

      I am still new to this site too. I watched it for a long time then decided to do join. I think it is great that your husband is doing this woe too. I would be happy to chat with you and support you. I think you are doing great so far.

      I do understand how hard it is to eat right when you go to a family outing. I really hated it when they would tell me how weird or dumb my diet was or how I should diet other than adkins. Some of the other ladies were doing nutrisystem and weight watchers and said if I wanted to lose wt. I needed to do what they were doing. I just smiled then and said no thank you. I am proud to say that now that I have lost wt. they don't mock me anymore. Some of those ladies that mocked me have fell off their diet or have only lost a small amt.

      When I want to cheat or eat something I know I really shouldn't...I just say..."Nothing tastes better than thin"

        Welcome to the Century Club Kathie. That's great your husband has joined you, makes life easier if you can both do it.

        What I know:
        1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
        2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
        3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
        4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.

            Thanks everyone for the great welcome! Anaiya your doing incredible! 75lbs gone, you must feel so much better. Hubby would never come onto the site, it's not his thing. Besides he doesn't want anyone to know he's dieting...I think they're going to find out..lol. He's a very private person. I'll see everyone at roll call.
