I've noticed several threads where people mention eating salad with ranch dressing. I LOVE ranch and it would make my life a lot happier but I can't find any without sugar in the list of ingredients. The carbs are only 1 but I thought we couldn't eat dressing with sugar as a listed ingredient. Which type of ranch is everyone using tht's legal on induction?

Re: Question about ranch dressing
If sugar is like last on the list, you're OK. I use LITEHOUSE (as I posted in roll call) but I don't have one handy to check out. I think Atkins said to make sure your dressings had 1 gram carb per serving or less, so you should be all set.

Re: Question about ranch dressing
It depends on how strict you want to be. I set a goal for myself of zero added sugar during induction so I had to search high and low for a ranch without sugar. It wound up being one of the 'premium' ranch dressings in the refrigerated section at Trader Joe's in my area.Ron, 38 y/o Male 5'11"My WOE blog: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...2&page=1&pp=10

Re: Question about ranch dressing
Thats where you'll find Litehouse, too. Next to Maries in the frig section. i only use those dressings cause they don't have preservatives and have actual expiration dates that aren't years from now. there's something creepy about food that lasts longer than some people

Re: Question about ranch dressing
Thanks everyone. My dressing and all the ones I've seen have sugar listed as less than 2%, so I'll go with that one. My first thought was to look in the refrigerated isle with the lettuce but they had Marie's which had sugar but nothing without. I'll have to look up where there is a trader joe's around here.

Re: Question about ranch dressing
Look at the different types of Marie's dressings. I know the creamy garlic and the blue cheese varieties don't have added sugar.~Joy
