  • Introducing myself

    My name is Stephanie, I am 32 and a stay at home mother of 7 children - currently.

    I started Atkins a couple years ago and had great success, but then I got pregnant and had the baby, never dieted again and then got pregnant yet again after that. So I've had 2 more babies since I first initially started Atkins.

    Now I am back and as long as I don't get pregnant again anytime soon, I hope to be able to reach ONEderland before the next pregnancy, LOL (yes we want more)

    I restarted again last Monday the 10th at 290lbs my heaviest yet which is why my weight alarms went off and woke me up some. Since starting I've currently lost 12 pounds. I am hoping to lose another 8 before next Sunday (aka Easter); to reach my first mini goal of 20 pounds in 2 weeks. I believe it is possible for me.

    My first big goal it to reach 190, to have lost a total of 100 pounds. To be completely out of the obese and overweight catagories though I need to be at least 150 pounds. So in all I need to lose 140 pounds to get to a "healthy" level.

    Man I'd just be happy to make it to 199 at this point. To be out of a size that doesn't start with a 2!!

    So in a quick weight loss nut shell (and I am a nut) that's me.

    Hi Stephanie welcome back to Atkins and to the CC. 7 kids sounds like you have your hands full. You have come to the right place, wonderful people with lots of information and support.
    40 year old male 6' 3"

    What I know:
    1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
    2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
    3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
    4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.

      Welcome to the CC Stephanie! Wow, your children are beautiful! Congrats on the 12 pounds lost so far. Sounds like you are off to a great start! I'm glad you joined us. Make sure to stop in the CC roll call thread every day... that's where we check in on each other. I look forward to seeing you around the board. HAPPY LOSING!

        Wow Stephanie your doing awesome so far! I have three boys and I can't imagine having anymore. You must be a saint..lol. Keep up the good work.

          I lost another 3 pounds today, so now I only have 5 more to go to reach my goal! yeah!!
