Could it have anything to do that in this week I started doing exercise?

Pink, one think I learned early on. SCALES ARE EVIL and can't be trusted. They mostly can only tell you if you have gained or lost, but each scale is different. I use one at the gym that always has me two pounds above the one at home, I just use it to make sure it goes down.
Exercise when you first start does have a tendency to retain water for awhile. Doesn't last long, but I would think its probably PMS as the real culprit.

So where do you live. I lived in Guadalahara for a few years, a ton of years ago and I would just love to go back. I miss the food and the wealther and the friendly people.

      Hello Rosa,
Water retention is caused by a few things. Exercise is certainly one of them. Also, if you're eating food with high sodium, like pork rinds. Also, if it's close to your menstrual cycle, that would certainly cause water weight. My bet is on the exercise. When you're using muscles that you normally don't use. Water goes directly to your muscles to allow them to heal. Just make sure you're drinking plenty of water, nothing else. That will be sure to flush the water out of your system. What I would do if I were you, is take your measurements, if you havn't already. Stay off the scale, follow Atkins to a T, exercise, and get all your water in. You should only weigh once a week, If that, The scale is evil. The tape measure makes a better friend. The weight will come off!
The scale will drive you bonkers if you allow it.
      Sincerely, Sherri
