    Good morning my friends. Looks like another beautiful day here in New Hampshire.

    Yard work and the boys have baseball practice is the agenda for today.
    40 year old male 6' 3"

    What I know:
    1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
    2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
    3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
    4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.

    Good morning It's a briskly cold morning here, but the sun has already made an appearance. almost 70 today (they say!!) so yard work for us too!

      Hey good morning Roger and Chick and all the other CC'ers who are going to follow. It's a pretty day here too and it supose to warm up to 69 °F. I'm gonna exercise and then chill on my balcony this afternoon. I'm in an excellent mood today. I weighed myself this morning and this week alone I have lost 1.5kg (3.3 lb). I guess moving to OWL Rung 1 was a great decision - seems right now I'm not a slow looser anymore!

      Well tomorrow is my official weigh-in for the "Fired Up For Fitness Challenge" - perhaps I can work of some extra gramms today!

      Anyways - wishing you all a fabulous and beautiful low carb day!

          Good morning, all!

          Salima-Congrats on the loss! How long did you stay in Induction?

          It's cool and rainy here in SW Pennsylvania. Yesterday was *gorgeous* and so I spent most of the day out on the deck. I have a final this Thursday, and tried to study but the weather was too nice to really buckle down. I'm hoping that the rainy weather will help me better concentrate today!

          Last week was pretty good! I am also down 3lbs (-12 since April 1st). I need to ramp up that exercise, though.

          Yesterday, we unpacked the summer clothes and it was excellent! There were many things that were just too tight to wear last summer, but already, they're very comfortable and so I pretty much have a new wardrobe, by just shopping in my attic!!

          Here's hoping everyone has a fantastic start to their low-carb week!

            Sorry I haven't been checking in. School (and my blood pressure going up) have really put a damper on my exercise and board cruising. Feeling pretty good today, a bit lethargic, getting back to studying dem bonez.

              @ Lynn - I did the 2 weeks induction phase and then added 4 extended induction weeks. And congrats to your weight loss too! -12 lb in 20 days - WOW!!!! That's fantastic!

                I just finished my 3rd week of induction. I'm trying to decide how long to stay there. Last time, I was in induction for about 5 months, and that's just TOO long for me. I might go until the end of May, or until I hit 225, which is my May 31st goal.

                    Last year when I did Atkins for the first time I stayed on Induction for 3 months - went on vacation and totally fell off the wagon. It took me 6 months to get back on plan, to really commit to to this WOE and exercising. That's why this time I took the advice to move to OWL sooner. The reason why I did induction for 6 weeks was to give my body an extra kick to regulate my blood sugar levels faster. It is truly a very personal choice wether to stay or to move on.

                    Question: are you already bored with your food choices?

                      I was afraid of getting bored and not doing it right this time so I moved up. I just started in with strawberries, 1/2 cup, last week. It is really nice. I eat them with a fat (macadamia nuts or heavy cream) and it is a very nice treat. I was scared to do it at first afraid it would be a trigger but it isn't.

                          Good Morning CC'ers
                          LOL, it's snowing here. There's a couple of inches on the ground so far. Daffodils in the snow.
                          Congratulations Salima and Lynn on your pounds gone forever, FANTASTIC!
                          I've learned that moving from Induction into OWL Rung 1 is a positive thing. It's more veggies. No way can anyone go wrong, no matter how much weight you have to lose. 9 out of 10 times it actually increases your weightloss.
                          Porcelain, I was the same way with berries. Concerned that if eaten that it would trigger cravings. I found that thats not the case at all too. Yesterday I made DH a blackberry pie (sugar-free) and made myself a sweet-free blackberry sundae. I whipped up some sweet-free heavy cream and put black berries in the cream to just sweeten it up a little. Very tastey!

                            Salima, I went into it very cautiously. One thing I am concerned about with my busy schedule, I am still not getting a lot of carbs. I am still around 5% at FitDay but that includes the fiber carbs so I think I need to step it up. I am still, for some reason, getting no more than induction amounts even though I am eating more in volume.

                            Hey Sherri, long time no see! I love strawberries with cream! I think I am going to have a large strawberry with my eggs this morning since I have had plenty of fat already.

                              Good afternoon CCer's!

                              Salima and Lynn amazing job on the pounds gone forever! My Official weigh in day is tomorrow too for the "Fired up for fitness". I'm hoping to at least be 225 lbs =)

                              I've been on extended induction as well and terrified to move up! I guess I don't get bored with my food choices because I honestly can't get myself to eat enough with how busy and stressed I am lately ( I know that's bad) The past week I haven't been able to fit in more then 600 calories a day and my Carbs are only at a 2 %. Ugh! I wish I had this problem when I was putting on all these pounds years ago!

                              But it is a beautiful sunny spring day here in North Central Florida! Already up in the 70's. Alas... I will be working so no laps or sunbathing for me today
