  • So dissapointed with myself...

    Hey everyone,

    I cheated this weekend, not only a little but but i cheated the whole weekend. It starded off with a little piece of fudge then it snowballed.

    I have restarted again this morning, i gained back almost all of the weight i lost, im super dissapointed but ready to haul mu but back on the wagon.

    Don't beat yourself up too much, unless you can walk on water and summon forth fishes and loaves, you're human like the rest of us. We all make mistakes and slip, it happens.

    Part of the process of really making this work is understanding why we let ourselves gain this weight in the first place. It's not just about "I'm on a diet", that'll always fail to be honest. You have to change your relationship with food and with yourself.

      I agree with what Ron said. And good for you to get back on plan today. I suggest you prepare legal snacks and treats, which you can eat when you have the urge for something sweet. Check out Linda's Low Carb Recipe Site (http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/recipes.html)- it's awesome and also features many treats which are induction friendly.

      What you can also do is exercise a bit more the next few days and drink extra water, both will help you to get back in the low carb mode.

        THIS WOE IS ABOUT YOU AND MAKING YOURSELF HEALTHY AND HAPPY. The most important thing to do is, stop the downslide, pick your self up and get back to it. You will be fine, if you want to be.

        What I know:
        1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
        2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
        3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
        4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.

          You can't do a thing about what is past, but you can do something about the future. Just start back again just as if you never slipped in the first place. You are an addict and you have to learn you can't have just a little.

            Gosh you all are GREAT :<) I couldnt agree more, its not about cheating, its about finally doing something good for YOU :<) You'll have your good days and your not so good days, the key we are all working on is to stop medicating ourselves with food and start treating ourselves with the respect we deserve-
