I got to move my ticker today!!!!

    Hello

Yesterday was the end of our 14th day of induction. I have lost 15lbs and my wife has lost 7lbs . We were both pretty excited. She felt a little discouraged about her weight loss but I told her that I had more to lose and that many feel men seem to lose faster than women. She’s ok with it though

The beginning was pretty rough for me but I knew it would be. Cravings almost got to me a couple of times but my wife saved me and we pushed forward together. Thanks honey for being there for me! The persistent headache on day and two was pretty rough also. I drank over a gallon of water a day; I think that helped the most.

We are going to stay on induction for a while and see where we are 2 weeks from now. The food has not gotten boring yet so I think we will be ok.

Thanks for the support everyone. We are off to extended induction. Right now we are going to celebrate our weight loss with a big bowl of ice cream and cake.

Great job, you have both done fantastic.

    What I know:
    1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.

Good for you Brian. I'm amazed you stayed off the scale for the whole two weeks! I could never do that. Kathie

              Outstanding.

Now I'm going to interject some reality.

The crazy weight loss will stop. You may even stall for a couple of weeks after induction, we call it PISS around here (Post Induction Stall Syndrome). Whether or not you stall your weight loss will slow down, 1 - 2 lbs a week is reasonable.

After 3 months, this is what my weight loss chart looks like:

I've had stalls, small gains, losses, I'm averaging about 2.5lbs a week overall, and I lose weight pretty easily.

Good luck, keep taking measurements and pictures, there's a lot more to this WOE than just the scale.
