Need MENU HELLLLP!!

Hey all-

I have to attend my brothers b-day party on sat..its being held at a rest. called the rainforest cafe.. I have perused the menu and there is not a lot on there that isnt basted, fried or dipped in sauces...

Can I have Caesar salad (minus the croutons of course)

How do I know if they inject their meats (staeks) with sugar?

I've had their caesar salad with grilled chicken, minus the croutons. It was quite good. There's also a cobb salad that looks ok, but I've never had it.

You could also order a burger without the bun and ask for a small side salad instead of fries. In fact, with most meat entrees you can ask for them to hold the potatoes or rice and give you a side of steamed veggies.

It never even occurred to me to wonder if they inject their meat with sugar.

You could just come right out and ask them if they "marinate" their meat. just make sure when you ask, your voice is neutral. i swear sometimes they give you the answer they think you want to hear.

Do ya think they even know though? I mean doesnt it just come that way from whereever they purchase?..I may try to give them a call..I"m better on the phone!! ,)

I ran into this last weekend when I took DH away for his birthday. You'd be very surprised how many places do marinate their meats. I called several ahead of time and they were very nice and they checked and came back and told me what was in their marinades. I would definitly call ahead and pick a few choices off the menu and ask what is in them. Call early before they open so they're not busy, that's what I did. Good luck! Kathie

Well I did fine- made sure to eat a HUGE meal before I left home- drank 6+ glasses of water on the way....I orderded the burger no bun...also ordered the vegies- but they were Gross-so a burger and a diet coke were it- which was fine :<)
