  • Around 100 to lose, give or take...

Hi all. I was wondering if I could join you here in CC. My highest weight a few weeks ago was 215, I have my goal at 125, so that's 90 lbs...but I'm 5'2" with a small frame, and I remember feeling good at 115 lbs years ago, so I've got around 100 to lose give or take. So far I've lost 16. I could really use the support of others who have a lot of weight to lose.

Sometimes the thought of losing around 100 lbs seems impossible, and scary. I've had a hard time getting below 199...seems I bounce back and forth lately between 199-201...for some reason I think I start slacking when I get to 199. I think it might be because sub-conciously I'm afraid to let myself lose weight...if that makes any sense at all. I don't even really know how to explain it...I've been at 199 a couple days now, and I start getting thoughts of "maybe this woe isn't right for me...etc." and I start feeling "too tired and achy" to excercise...I don't know why I get this way when I hit 199...when I'm over 200 I eat right and excercise like a nut to get under 200...but I hit 199 and slack off??? I'm trying not to do that this time, I excercised yesterday and will force myself today as well. I definitely WANT to do this and feel my best when I adhere to this WOE. Does anyone else relate to this self-sabotage? And is there anyone out there who's felt this way and gotten through the rut??

Hi Annie, welcome to CC we are happy to have you here!!

I myself have at least 100 pounds to loose, maybe more. I currently weight 275 and am 5'7", im not really sure what my goal weight should be but i do know i have a lot to loose.

I also know how overwhelmins this task can seem. Something that helps for me is setting mini goals that are much more atanable. Set up a reward for yourself once you have reached your mini goal, maybe a new haircut, a manicure, dont make it anything to do with food.

Alot of people say what we didnt put it on overnight so we cant be expected to lose it overnight as well which is so true.

These boards are a great place for support!

Look forward to losing with you!!

Thanks Diana! I'm glad I came to this forum...I was afraid to for a while because I'm not sure if I have exactly 100 to lose and I know there are people here with a lot more to lose. I feel bad complaing because I know its must be even harder for those who have 200+ to lose...but we're all here to support eachother. You're right about setting up rewards for mini-goals. I went blonde when I hit 199 the first time. I think when I hit 189 a manicure would be a good idea I've gotta try to stop thinking of 189 as being so far away! If I went from 215 to 199, then I don't know why I think its impossible sometimes to ditch the 190's and get into the 180's lol.

I look foward to losing with you as well! Together we can all do this

Welcome to the Club. You are right together we can do this

        What I know:
        1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.

Hey Annie, Welcome to the CC. I can definitely relate to your struggle. I lost 70 pounds a few years back and put every bit of it back on. I know for me this is a daily, even hourly decision I have to make to stay on track and do what's best for ME! I agree with Diana about setting small goals for yourself. That makes it so much more attainable. You CAN ditch the 190's! Just make that decision every time you pick up something to eat. 180's here you come!!!
