  • Hey everyone!

    Hi guys!

I've kind of had "stuff" going on the past couple of months and have not been able to post. I have a new job, it was a very stressful move, but in the long run much better...we still have the infant and toddler we are fostering...the infant will leave this Monday and the toddler will probably be gone by the end of the month, there are some days I know I am every bit of 51 years old!...My daughter was supposed to get married last weekend and my father which has alzheimer's and parkinson's went into kidney failure last week, so she postponed the wedding and we flew to IL...he is still living but just hanging on...needless to say it has been a wee bid emotional!

I did go into a little stall over the past 2 months but am still hanging in there...I am a stress eater so I just stress ate some legal stuff and did not wig out over the scale not moving and am currently down 10 lbs from when I last posted. I can smell onederland!

When I tried Atkins in 2004 stress came and I caved...the difference this time is I have really made a life change...I don't eat the foods I used to eat...so while I did stall for a few weeks and lost very little some weeks (maybe a tenth of a pound, but it was still a tenth!)...I did not eat my old comfort foods and I knew the scale would eventually move.

I just wanted you all to know I am still hanging in there and still seeing progress. I hope to get back on here again once the dust settles...I miss hearing the victory stories!

    to you all!

I am glad to read that you are starting to see a way through all that has happened to your family, Sandy and that you didn't succumb to former comfort foods
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

You are doing fantastic! Great job staying away from carbage! I hope life settles down for you very soon. sometimes it seems that everything is thrown at you at one time.
