    good morning happy campers It's gonna be a beautiful day here. hopefully, the danged cricket hiding in my bedroom will shut up long enough to let me take a nap





    290 lbs. on 11/02/07 Goal: 145 lbs. or size 14 whichever comes first!

    Good morning Chick and everyone else, looks like great day here in NH.
    40 year old male 6' 3"

    What I know:
    1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
    2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
    3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
    4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.

      Hello Chick & Roger and everyone else who will stop by today. I'm back from my long weekend in the DC area. I had an awesome time. I gotta say I went off plan, but I'm not beating myself up. We walked so much past weekend, that I didn't gain any weight at all. Tomorrow I'm starting induction again to kick my system right back into ketosis.

      Hope you are all doing great and have a happy low carb day.

        SwissMiss - Good for you!!

        Chicklady - Eeeew! That would give me the creepy crawlies until it was released to the great outdoors! I'd probably sleep on the couch!!! I'm just not good with bugs...


        I've had sinus draining issues into my stomach which makes me very nauseous (sorry if this is TMI ). The only thing I've been able to keep down for the past few days is toast (with a tiny bit of peanut butter for protein) and tea. Thankfully, I'm only having about 4 slices/day so this shouldn't cause any weight gain. I have been drinking A LOT of water!

        I've been wanting to move to OWL so badly! I'll wait until this clears up, and I'll do two more weeks of induction then start OWL.

          Hope you feel better soon Lynn. I'm home today with a stomach virus I caught from one of my students. It's so miserable.

            The first time i did Atkins, every time i did this(there were a few!!), I would have horrendous headaches, just like induction. Has that been your experience today SwissMiss?

            BTW...Glad you had fun!

              Well Lynn, I live in a very rural setting. It could get a lot worse than crickets!! (It has....I'll tell the skunk story one of these days) Today the stoooopid critter let me sleep 5 1/2 hours before it started chirping. That wouldn't be half bad....if I had any decent sleep yesterday
