Hi everyone... new to the century club!

    Hi all
I am Lacey... I already posted an introduction in the main forum but I have well over 100 pounds to lose so I think this is a good place for me to check in and get/give advice etc.

I am well into day 6 of induction and am doing great! Not too much flu symptoms, just some headaches but I have those anyway because of a neck problem. Cant blame it on Atkins :P My appetite is low which is nice, I can see now that I was on that carb and sugar roller coaster and that my appetite had so much to do with my blood sugar levels. I do have tricky blood sugar problems including insulin dependent gestational diabetes with my last pregnancy (7 years ago) Since starting Atkins last week, my blood sugars have completely stabilized and mid day sugars are right around 103/105 which is amazing for me!

I am so jazzed about this woe! I am never hungry and feel so good! I have been very good about my water and am well over 100 oz every day! I have given up caffeine completely and am working on the sweeteners although I still occasionally have a splenda or 2.

Now I need to get myself into gear and start some exercise, I know I have to start slowly, but I definitely need to just do it!

Anyway, I am glad to be here

    Keep up the good work!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

Thanks everyone! I am doing really great and haven't cheated even once in 7 days, no desire to cheat either! I feel very in control and satisfied and I cannot believe how much my appetite has stabilized! Yay for me and all of you too!

                  What I know:
                  1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.
