  • Cheat - But Much Better

    Hey ya'll - Time to fess up, I did have one can of dr. pepper at work this afternoon. I was falling asleep, trying to get a big project done, and the can was just what I needed (just hear me out, please) and I got the project done and I've been on water ever since. I'm home now and I've tossed the dr. pepper and I'm still on the water (no more cheating). I feel good. I'm getting housework done and best of all--I went to the grocery store tonight. I feel like I'm on atkins proper right now (feels like the atkins good ol days for me) I have pork chops and brawts (2 carbs each) frying on the stove top. I have my favorite kind of lettuce and a good low carb dressing ready for tomorrow (already had enough salad today)... and my mental state is such that I'm not focused on the dr. pepper--I feel free again, I know this is it, I have enough reasoning, enough logic, enough motivation (before and after pics, etc.) to keep me going this time. Hope everyone had an awesome Wednesday--now we're all on a down hill slide to the weekend!!!!

    Jason, thanks for being real! I'm glad you got rid of the Dr. Pepper and got some Atkins-friendly food in your fridge.

    I would always suggest having food prepared that you can eat ~ hard boiled eggs, deviled eggs, tuna salad, cut up veggies, olives, pork rinds, etc. There's the saying when you fail to plan you plan to fail. I know I set myself up for success when I plan ahead.
